TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR FAMILIES

“My son is in the Summer Social Skills Camp. I just want to excitedly share with you that I've noticed a huge difference just in the past month. He's regularly saying 'hi' and 'bye', has initiated social exchanges with unfamiliar people, is using speech in a more conversational way, and has even initiated play with classmates at his tumbling class. He has had tremendous gains and I just wanted to let you all know that your work makes a difference and is incredibly meaningful and valued.” - Natasha S.

"The opportunity to work with Kerry and Sarah has been life changing for my son (and our family)!  They have both made such a difference in not only identifying areas to work on with him, but giving us practical strategies that we can implement at home.  They're experienced, incredibly caring, and they have made a difference beyond words in my son's growth in his areas of challenge.  His growth as a result of their work with him is tremendous and I can't recommend Denver Behavior Consultants enough!" -Katie

“Miss Tara Mulhern did an excellent job balancing how to engage and teach our son, while also teaching us as parents what we need to be doing everyday to help our son progress. She also helped manage our expectations as parents to be patient and trust the work being put in daily would pay off. One surprising aspect of the process is it wasn’t “work” for our son – it was all play! We’re so grateful to work with her!
Thank you so much, Miss Tara!” - Maria R.

Thank you so very much for everything you have done for our daughter and our family. You are an absolutely incredible human being. We have been so blessed to have worked with you these past few months. She loves playing and working with you! -Ashley (via letter sent to our therapist Leonor Rosser)

“Leonor has been such a pleasure to work with! She is great with my daughter and always quick and thoughtful to respond to our questions and concerns.” - Meredith W.

“Leonor has been so great with our son! He loves his sessions with her and playing and interacting with her. She has given us so many great tools and ideas on increasing his speech and makes him feel very special and loved. I look forward to continuing to work with her!” -Beth E.

“I wasn't sure my son would even interact with a therapist because he is normally so shy with new people. Leonor had him smiling from day one. He loves therapy times and it’s encouraging to see his growth already. She is great at sharing tips and tools in the friendliest way. I couldn’t be happier with the encouraging care we are receiving.” - Elaine J.

“I signed up my 10-year-old son for a social group. He was able to find what he has in common with some of the other kids and talk about things that are not his core interests, which is something he struggles with. They taught him to ask questions to keep a conversation going and what kinds of things should be kept in his head vs. when to say something out loud. They did some good work with him and even contacted his ABA therapist to understand him better. Thank you so much!” - Jamie C.

“I have been blown away by the success of the online therapy sessions with Jordana. Admittedly, at first I was skeptical a 15-month-old child would be able or even willing to interact through a video conference, but she took to it right away.  We have had three sessions and each time my child has not only responded but made advancements as if Jordana were in the room.  I strongly encourage all parents to give this a try, even if you are incredulous to its effectiveness. You, too, may be delightfully surprised with the results.”  -Mary S., Mother of child with developmental delays in speech, adaptive learning, and minor motor

“Working with Kerry Diener has been one of the best decisions we have made for our son. I can’t say enough about Kerry’s professionalism and caring nature. I don't know how we would survive without her support and guidance. Parenting is a learn-as-you-go job but, when raising a child with behavioral disorders, one needs superhuman parenting skills. Kerry has regularly given us those skills, plans, scenarios and more. We have been under her care for about 1.5 years and I can honestly say she often has been our lifeline. Our regular appointments have been the most crucial piece of treatment for our son; we really saw results. It was very inspiring!” -Olga O.

“I had prepped Jennifer before a meeting and she had also checked in with the other therapists prior to her first visit. She did a great job reaching out to me after her visit and we discussed the option of sharing the information at our co-treat (her second visit and my first time ever meeting her). I felt like I was able to walk into the visit with Jennifer and work together....and that I had a great teammate to handle it with. I just wanted to let you know how great it felt being able to do this with a provider I had never met or worked with before on our first visit together.  She has been wonderful about communicating and checking in as well as working together.” - Valerie, Speech Language Pathologist

“I can say I whole-heartedly recommend Denver Behavior Consultants, but those words do not even begin to do justice to the experience our family has had with DBC! We have been working with 2 therapists through DBC for 18 months and have seen an incredible improvement with our son's social/emotional behavior, speech and academics just to name a few. When we were referred to DBC our main concern was that our son was showing signs of being on the autism spectrum. This is not something you ever expect to deal with and it was emotionally devastating as a parent. It turns out that our son is not on the spectrum; but before we knew this, the therapists at DBC gave us hope, a light at the end of the tunnel, and made us a little less scared about the potential of this diagnosis. They showed us how we could support our son moving forward. And move forward we did! The tools that we gained during our sessions each week were invaluable and there was never a hurdle we couldn't overcome with the help and guidance of our DBC therapists. Our son is graduating from their services next month and it brings tears to my eyes knowing we will not get to continue working with this team on a weekly basis. This may sound corny, but they were honestly angels who came into our lives during what were the hardest months of our lives. They SAVED my son! They SAVED our family! I am so thankful for their services and this whole-hearted recommendation is really a many-hearted recommendation because it includes deep gratitude from not only me, but my entire family who has witnessed the remarkable changes in our son. With deep appreciation for our therapists and their services at Denver Behavior Consultants!” -Abby H., Relieved Mother & Raving Fan of DBC

“Our family and two-year-old son worked with Meredith for close to a year in 2018. Meredith was an invaluable resource to our family during that time. She is able to build strong relationships with children and caregivers. The natural rapport Meredith has with families enables children to learn, grow, and feel successful. Her ability to relate and communicate with parents empowers caregivers to continue the newly taught skills throughout the week. She provided tangible and targeted strategies at our child’s level, which helped him to feel successful and empowered to continue attempting more difficult tasks. She makes learning fun and always has a smile on her face. It is evident that Meredith truly enjoys her job of teaching children and partnering with families. She truly helped out family, not just our son, navigate new transitions and feel confident to continue learning even when things did not come easily. Many of the strategies and skills introduced by Meredith, we continue to use with our son as he grows and encounters new learning and transitions. We are grateful for the relationship and learning time we had with Meredith. I am beyond grateful for her, as she helped our son to be the best version of himself.” -Brittany Z

"I can't say enough about DBC.  When she was first assigned to work with my son I was skeptical that she would be able to get him to focus, and was I ever so wrong.  She started working with my child in September of 2017 right after his second birthday.  My son was rambunctious and all over the place and unable to focus on any task or play activity for longer than 30 seconds.  (Her therapist) came in and not only gave me tips on how to organize my home to flow better for his play, but was amazing in following his cues in his development.  After about two months, he went from only being able to sit with her for a two minute period before needing a break to sitting with her the entire hour to play and learn.  He has learned to share, sign his needs, and actually play like a 2 year old should, but most importantly she did all of this with kindness and patience and understanding of Noah's needs.  When she is here on Thursdays that is all Noah looks forward to, and her hour here has easily become his favorite part of the week.  I often joke that after he graduates from needing the therapist we won't let her go because she is just that amazing.” -Crystal S.

"I am a parent of twin boys who were born preemies. The boys were milestone delayed and qualified for child developmental services such as OT, PT, and ST at a very young age. That’s how we met our therapist, Kerry Diener who came to us highly recommended and made such an amazing difference in our family day-to-day life. The boys were excited to see her and looked forward to their sessions with Kerry and the new “toys” that she brought along week after week. I was very pleased with the progress that my boys made while receiving therapy from Kerry for approximately three years, when they finally caught up with all their milestone goals and no longer needed services. During this time Kerry become like family to us and offered her patience, kindness, support, and knowledgeable expertise in helping our sons overcome many occupational and sensory-related issues. As a parent, it was so wonderful to have had someone to come alongside of my family and to help our children accomplish daily living tasks that were otherwise difficult for us to teach to our little ones. Our conferences with Kerry were very informative, and she clearly explained to us goals for their treatment and answered all our questions, making us feel comfortable about the boys’ treatment plan. She also explained to us that she would monitor some other issues that we noticed and brought to her attention.

Considering other experiences that we had with therapy options, we felt so blessed to have found Kerry. I would highly recommend her to any parent considering  therapy for their child, especially those searching for care that offers professionalism as well as innovative and progressive strategies. Thank you so much for all your incredible work and for all that you accomplished in them." -Loana S.
